Teachers could benefit from educational resources
By being on Pinterest, community as a whole is becoming more aware of us and maybe thinking about us a little bit more. We are staying in the back of their heads
CLC can communicate through each other to advertise and celebrate successes
Great for marketing, outreach, networking, research...

Presentations to stakeholders become more engaging
Data can be better organized in a fashion that is easy to scan through and comprehend

The WRONG purpose & the WRONG people

May not be best means of communication for all parents, depending on demographics
During staff meetings, not all staff may quite grasp how this concept might be beneficial to them
Not many seniors may comfortable with this
Some people may not be so open-minded to new technologies- why change the way they're doing things?

With Prezi specifically: possible motion sickness? If done incorrectly the fast “zooming” might bother people
People might focus more on graphic effects than what is actually being discussed
Infographics are a little more informal: know whom you're sending it to, will they understand it? Will it speak to them?
Trying too hard to be fancy? Know your audience. Some may prefer a more traditional Way Of Communicating
For those who are worried about confidentiality, everything is public (unless you pay for a license)
Prezi does not work well with Video Conference

Know your target audience. You don't want to baffle them
Persevere. It may take time but don't get discouraged. Things might move slowly, especially on Pinterest
Takes time and effort
Keep a basic Prezi. Don't overload it. Use Infograph and Piktochart effectively in your Prezi
Expand your horizon when you go to Pinterest. It can be used for research, marketing, networking, outreach...
Beware! Pinterest can get addictive...don't get too caught up with your own personal Pinterest time when at work ;)
Can connect some images from Pinterest to your Smartboard for teachers
Everything is public: keep that in mind, nothing is confidential
